Flaky croissants are filled with a creamy, herby blend of Gruyère and cream cheese, baked to golden perfection, and are sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Store-bought croissant dough 1 package (8 pieces)
Shredded Gruyère cheese 1 cup
Cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup
Chopped fresh chives 2 tablespoons
Chopped fresh parsley 2 tablespoons
Egg, beaten 1 (for egg wash)
Salt To taste
Pepper To taste

Instructions:

    1. Preheat Oven & Prep Sheet: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. Prepare Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the shredded Gruyère cheese, softened cream cheese, chopped fresh chives, chopped fresh parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined and the mixture is uniform.
    1. Stuff Croissants: Unroll the croissant dough and separate it into individual triangles. Place about a tablespoon of the prepared cheese and herb mixture at the wide end of each dough triangle.
    2. Roll & Arrange: Roll up each triangle tightly, starting from the wide end and rolling towards the narrow tip. Place the rolled croissants on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.
    3. Egg Wash & Bake: Brush the tops of the croissants with the beaten egg to give them a beautiful golden brown finish when baked. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown, puffed, and the cheese filling is melted and bubbly.
  1. Cool & Serve: Allow the croissants to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack. Serve warm.
