- Prep for Baking: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Combine Ingredients: Add all ingredients except the sliced butter to the greased baking dish. This includes the shredded or cubed chicken, instant white rice, water, cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir everything together until well combined.
- Add Butter & Bake: Arrange the slices of butter evenly around the top of the mixture in the dish. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake & Brown: Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, remove the foil and continue to bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender, the casserole is bubbly, and the top is lightly golden.
